Clarksville Cave, New York
Clarksville Cave is a fun muddy cave in New York with a tight squeeze as well as some larger rooms with a pretty lake somewhere near the middle. It has a low to medium level of water throughout much of the cave and is fairly cold as far as caves go. However, it is a walking or stooping cave and is therefore appropriate for beginners who don't mind a little chill. Many Scout troops have visited the cave. Clarksville was one of the first caves I visited before I moved to California. I was introduced to caving and cave photography by the Boston Grotto. Great folks!
